About WPS
In 2007, Brad Williams, CPA, PFS and Mark Schiller, CPA/ABV, CFP® founded WPS in response to our clients’ demands to extend our services beyond our traditional CPA firm. Clients were searching for an advisory relationship that was free from conflicts of interest and focused on them.
What we created was an independent advisory firm that is focused on what is in our clients’ best interest. No sales. No commissions. Just unbiased financial advice.
At WPS we recognize the importance of personalized services that are specifically tailored to our client’s needs. As an independent fee-only advisory firm, WPS does not participate in either commission or transactional compensation, nor do we sell any financial products. We involve the client in the decision-making process, keep them informed along the way, and above all else, we hold highly our fiduciary obligation to our clients and pledge to serve you with utmost good faith and integrity.
Our Approach
Dynamic. Comprehensive. Personal Attention.
Our approach to working with you is based on the belief that effective wealth management must not only consider the totality of your financial life, but must also be fluid, dynamic, and proactive in order to address the myriad of details and decision points that arise over time – from both the investment and the financial planning perspectives.
Once you become a client, your account is managed by a highly experienced team that develops both your financial recommendations and portfolio design, monitors your portfolio, and communicates with you regarding performance, planning issues and any recommended modifications. This ensures that your wealth management team sees the complete picture, and can proactively support you in staying on course toward your financial goals.
Discovery Meeting
We begin with an initial meeting in which we explore the complete picture of your financial planning needs, goals, investment expectations, and discuss our investment philosophy and approach. After careful consideration, should you decide to become a client, we proceed to develop recommendations to meet your financial needs.
Proposal Development & Meeting
Based on our initial consultation with you, we develop a wealth management proposal addressing your investment management and planning needs. We review this proposal with you in detail so you have complete understanding of our recommendations.
Plan Approval and Implementation
Upon your approval, we implement our recommendations over a time period that typically spans one to six months.
Portfolio Monitoring
Your wealth management team monitors your portfolio regularly, measuring performance, comparing results to established benchmarks, and recommending adjustments as dictated by your personal situation or market conditions. We also keep you abreast of any important changes in tax law or other financial planning matters, and let you know of any time-sensitive changes to your financial plan that we may recommend.
Ongoing Communication
As a client, you receive performance reports, our quarterly newsletter, market updates, periodic mailings regarding timely and newsworthy issues, and routine conversations with our advisors. Additionally, we formally meet with you at least annually (or as needed) to review your planning issues, personal financial circumstances and discuss your portfolio allocations, portfolio performance and any recommended adjustments to your portfolio.
